Ever wanted the opportunity to choose a green car when booking a daily rental? Or wanted to deal with a company offering the same green type of vehicles you have or want to see in your driveway? Los Angeles MPG Rent-a-Car decided to cover this niche market.
MPG Rent-a-Car says it is committed to changing the way that customers rent cars by taking a boutique-oriented, green approach to automotive rentals. The company has also made a serious commitment to environmental issues as the only fully sustainability centered rental car company in Los Angeles.
The vehicles chosen by MPG Car Rental for its fleet have recently been validated by Interbrand in their Best Global Green Brands rankings.
Interbrand recently ranked various large companies on a scale that merges a car brand's image with the brand's actual level of sustainability. Jez Frampton, Interbrand's Global CEO, mentioned that “it's not just what they do, it's how they're perceived to be doing as well.”
Some of the best known and most popular imported car manufacturers were graded very high on the list; Toyota was firmly at number 1, with Honda and Volkswagen following closely behind at number 3 and number 4, respectively.
In the Interbrand ranking, Toyota was lauded for its development of the Prius and for having near zero landfill status.
MPG Car Rental, dubbing itself an all-green car rental company, is making sure to offer the eco-friendly brands mentioned in the report. MPG Car Rental also explores various type of green vehicles by constantly updating its fleet. The company offers cars with a broad spectrum of capabilities suitable for any renter's needs; large or small, for city or long trips.
The MPG fleet includes vehicles mentioned in Interbrand's list, from Toyota (Prius, Prius Plug-In, Highlander Hybrid) and Lexus (RX, CT), to Honda (Insight), Volkswagen (Jetta), and many more. All of these brands ranked on the Best Global Green Brand list.
A recently-added electric car rental, the Chevy Volt, is making waves with green-minded renters as well, according to MPG Car Rental.
