HONG KONG - Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) today announced the opening of its servicing operation at G/F, Kings Palace, 52A Sha Tsui Road, Tsuen Wan, N.T. Through the Hong Kong service center, Tesla is truly available for owners any time and everywhere.

The Tesla Roadster is the world's first high-performance electric vehicle. The hand-built carbon fiber supercar accelerates in 0-97km/h in 3.7 seconds with zero emissions. The Roadster plugs into any conventional outlet and can travel 394 km on a single charge. There are now over 1,800 Roadsters on the road worldwide that have collectively driven more than 13 million real world electric miles.

The Roadster proves that electric cars are a viable option for those who love to drive. It is incredibly convenient to own. It requires less routine maintenance than conventional cars, does not need regular oil changes or exhaust system work. Roadsters have no spark plugs, pistons, hoses, belts or clutches to replace. And, with Tesla's innovative "house call" approach, customers are able to have peace of mind no matter where they are located.

Kevin Yu, the Director of Retail Development for Tesla Motors in Asia Pacific added that "Tesla wants to show commitment to the Hong Kong market. Our customers, the government, and private industry in Hong Kong have been incredibly supportive of Tesla and of electric vehicles in general, and they helped make the decision to invest in Hong Kong an easy one. Our message to Hong Kong is clear - Tesla is open for business and committed to this market."

Tesla's Hong Kong Roadster owner community is paving the way in showing the benefits of driving electric vehicles. Driving the zero-emission Roadster in Hong Kong supports the city in its mission to create a green city and better future. The Hong Kong government is committed to turn Hong Kong into an EV-friendly city through tax benefits for people who drive electric, as well as establishing infrastructural support.

In addition to a service center, Tesla Hong Kong includes a Roadster display. Customers are encouraged to visit during business hours to see, sit in and learn more about Tesla vehicles.
