General Motors may still generate the vast majority of its revenues from gasoline-powered vehicles, but it is doing things behind the scenes to clean up its environmental act.
The company also says more electrified vehicles will be coming in due time, but for now, it posted a video highlighting just some of its varied efforts toward sustainability at its plants.
<iframe width="668" height="375" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/C3O8RC2nHwQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="">>[embedded content]</iframe>
The video focuses on a GM program that brings in analysts to provide recommendations on ways to streamline plant processes and reduce carbon emissions.
This year, the recommendations provided by analysts could reduce energy consumption across all GM plants by over $1 million every year.
